Suggestions for Protection of Mouthpiece(s) in Trial Period
Use of a rubber patch for the beak and a ligature that will not damage the body of the mouthpiece,
such as a Rovner or other non-metallic ligature, can be helpful in insuring the mouthpiece
will not incur damage during the trial period.
Use of a non-metal mouthpiece cap that will not chip or burr the tip or tip rail
if it strikes the mouthpiece can also be helpful.
Covering the mouthpiece body with Scotch frosted tape or other tape that will not leave
a gummy residue when removed may be a useful means of protecting the mouthpiece.
